The first trend in our series featured AI. This second marketing trend in our 7-part series is to embrace emerging technologies other than AI.

Anyone who has worked with us will have heard me talking about 1. putting in place systems and processes to facilitate growth and 2. looking for technologies to delight customers and add value to the business. Here are some examples:

2. Embrace Emerging Technologies

Stay ahead by incorporating cutting-edge technologies into your marketing strategy. Just because you’re playing in a B2B marketplace, rather than a consumer B2C market, doesn’t mean that you have to be boring. Here are a few examples:

  • Why not explore Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) for immersive product demonstrations at in-person and virtual trade shows?
  • Voice searches one of the increasing prevalent emerging technologies. Rather than typing or dictating messages into your devices, have you discovered and are you using voice messaging on the LinkedIn app, as well as WhatsApp?
  • Do you have platforms all over the place? Are they operated and optimised for automation? Also, are you using them properly and are they cost-effective?  A good example is to review your CRM (customer relationship management) platform. Speed to market is not slowing down, make sure your systems are up to the job.
